It’s insane that even Amazon Prime has an Apple TV app but Cinemax, who’s been around forever, still doesn’t have one. I pay for Cinemax, and I should be able to view Max Go wherever I like, just as I can with HBO. One of the only major channels to still not have an ATV app. Please fix this ASAP, Cinemax.

Add support for Chromecast and other steaming devices.

This would be my favorite app if I could stream to my Chromecast. You’d figure to keep up with EVERY OTHER MOVIE NETWORK, they might make that a possibility. Worthless to me without streaming capabilities. Customer lost.

If you love watching quality films on a 2”x5” screen then THIS IS THE APP FOR YOU! Even though they’ve copied the HBO Go App pixel for pixel, you still CANNOT cast to your devices. Pretty embarrassing.

This MAX GO App would be great if I wanted to watch on my 2”inch phone screen. But as a Subscriber to Cinemax on Dish when I miss shows or when I want to watch past stuff available on Max Go it would be nice if I could watch on my ROKU TV or through the Xbox on the TV in the other room like I do with EVERY other App like HBO GO, SHO ANYTIME, STARZ, etc.

Finally has AirPlay support as well as a new interface. Vastly improved! Apple TV app would be a great addition.

Lets all be honest; after dark is a draw for customers. The new version removes the after dark tab. Movies are still decent and action oriented. But half the reason for the subscription is now missing. I may need to cancel the subscription.

I had left a bad review because the app wasnt updated and would have stopped working in iOS 11. The new release fixes that, but I cant delete the review, sonic updating. The updated app looks fine, but I dont have a strong opinion about it.

Thanks for finally giving this app a 64 bit update and iOS 11 compatibility. It needs one more thing to make it stop being HBO Gos stepchild. When are they going to bring out an Apple TV app for this? It has been years since Apple TV came out. HBO, why are you treating this app as a stepchild?

Ive had this app along with HBOGo app for a couple of years now but I always find myself using the HBOGo app and not this one because I cant cast it to my TV. The HBO app has had the option to use Chromecast, Roku, or other casting device for sometime now and even after an update recently completed this app failed to include this capability. Honestly without the ability to use use Chromecast, AppleTV, or Roku I will not use the app unless Im traveling or away from the TV. The content is great but MaxGo needs another new update ASAP to include AppleTV and casting capabilities if theyd like to satisfy their customers!!!

Does NOT cast through the chromecast and does NOT work through the apple tv so the only way to watch is through your phone. Even when you do watch it on the phone its slow and has to buffer constantly. My least used movie app- which is a shame bc there are plenty of good movies to watch.

Lots of realistic visual blood and wrecked lives are available again on Max Go, but no visuals of our bodies being close, whole and intense unless people are murdering or torturing someone! This is the entertainment you are prioritizing for our adult attention? Max was noted for its mild foray into normal adult relationships as well as some silly softcore. Even though fenced off into After Dark, real adult relationships, however private, are often sexual and physical and fun and the best part of life and those often do not concern clothing. Eliminating that small bit in favor of murder porn and hate porn may sell better, like bad news, but without balance, has nowhere to go. Please bring back After Dark, please.

Removed After Dark TAB do not update. Cinemax bring back After Dark or bye bye to my Cinemax subscription. Update: Updated but still After Dark missing. So in the end I stand by my 1 star rating.

Im just glad to see this service get some attention. So far its working great and Airplay is functioning flawlessly. I feel like Im asking for the impossible since its been so long between updates, but please make an Apple TV app!

Love the app especially when looking for some good action movies or TV series like strykeback. Just wish you would add Chromecast support...its long overdue.

It finally happened, the Max Go app was updated! ... Still no Apple TV app though. But more importantly, the After Dark section has finally been removed. Now, at first this might be upsetting to some people, but theres some considerations to make. Most of the late movies used to get rotated with the HBO Go app. Those movies were also made years ago and often featured women with [enhanced] talents. Late Night television is not what it once was and thats ultimately a good thing. What is a sad loss are Cinemaxs pretty good Late Night original shows they produced a few years ago. Those shows are not included in the Series section of the app. Cinemax also had the older traditional anthology late night shows, but their more recent series were closer to serialized dramas... Granted with more love scenes than their other original content shows. Of course, Cinemax has decided to move away from the "Skinimax" brand and instead focus on action shows and older blockbuster films. Thats the main reason to subscribe to Cinemax now and its still a pretty good deal. So to recap: The app is finally ready for the future! But After Dark options has been removed entirely (even on your computer through their website). May the past rest in peace, heres to the present, and to the future. Old Review: With iOS 11, this app will no longer function, because it hasnt been updated with a 64-bit version. Hopefully Cinemax will recognize that it is time to rebuild the app in the vein of HBO Go/HBO Now. Maybe they could borrow a few cues from the impressive Starz app too. Anyway, Im still using this app to AirPlay, which continues to run solidly. Hopefully an Apple TV app is on the horizon as well. 6/5/17 - Review Updated.
